Stella Sora Tyrant Guide: Identity, Story, and Tower

Who Is the Tyrant in Stella Sora?

The Stella Sora tyrant is you: an ancient figure who awakens without memories and becomes the Boss to a crew of Trekkers. That identity matters because your forgotten past sits at the heart of Nova’s mysteries, while your companions give you a place in its present. Understanding the Stella Sora tyrant starts with those two names—one carries an unsettling legacy, and the other reflects the relationships you build during your journey.

“Tyrant” can sound like the name of an enemy you need to defeat. Here, it identifies the player’s protagonist. Amber, Iris, and Noya discover you sleeping deep inside a Monolith, setting your adventure in motion.

Your situation creates an immediate problem: the world has a history attached to your name, but you wake up unable to remember it. Nova has moved forward, and the truth about its distant past has eroded.

TermMeaningConnection to your adventure

BossThe name your friends use for youReflects your place among your companions
TrekkersAdventurers who explore MonolithsForm the crew traveling alongside you
NovaThe land where the story unfoldsHolds the mysteries you investigate
MonolithsAncient structures containing ArtifactsProvide the setting for dangerous expeditions

Keep the distinction between your narrative identity and your combat roster clear. You experience the story as the Tyrant, while battles put Trekker teams under your control.

That distinction also explains why a conventional character build is the wrong starting point for understanding this protagonist. Your immediate combat decisions concern the Trekkers you field, their skills, and the equipment supporting their team.

The Tyrant’s Past and Connection to Nova

The Stella Sora tyrant enters a world where a thousand years have passed and reliable knowledge of the past has worn away. The name still inspires fear, even though the full history behind it has faded.

That tension gives the story its central question: how does the person traveling with Amber, Iris, and Noya relate to the figure remembered by Nova?

Your missing memories make that question personal. You are learning about the world around you while also trying to understand your own place within it. The companions who find you become your introduction to modern Nova.

Why the Monoliths Matter

Monoliths are enormous ancient structures regarded as gifts from the gods. Inside them are Artifacts: remnants of technology and culture containing knowledge beyond what the present world possesses.

Those discoveries have practical value as well as historical significance. Artifacts attract wealthy and powerful buyers, making expeditions profitable enough for Trekkers to accept the danger.

For the Stella Sora tyrant, these towers also frame the opening mystery. You awaken within one of the very structures that preserve traces of an earlier age. Exploration and the search for your identity therefore share the same setting from the beginning.

Why Your Companions Matter

Amber, Iris, and Noya give the opening story a personal focus. Before the larger mysteries unfold, they are the people who discover you and become your traveling companions.

The contrast between “Tyrant” and “Boss” works because of those relationships. One name belongs to the world’s memory; the other belongs to the people spending time with you now.

Follow character conversations alongside the main plot. Trekker stories and Affection interactions develop the people around you, giving the journey more weight than a sequence of expeditions for valuable relics.

How the Tyrant Role Connects to Gameplay

The Stella Sora tyrant is the protagonist, but your moment-to-moment combat revolves around a three-character Trekker team. You control a main Trekker and bring two support Trekkers.

The main character handles movement, dodging, and direct combat. Basic attacks activate automatically while targets are in range, and you use skills and support abilities during encounters.

Build Around a Clear Damage Plan

Start by deciding how your main Trekker deals damage. Basic attacks, skills, and Mark interactions can call for different support choices.

For example, Nazuna can apply the Terra Mark Earth Vein. Gerie’s support skill or Ultimate can trigger that Mark, producing damage and activating relevant effects.

Pair a Mark applicator with a Trekker who can trigger it. For an attack-focused lineup, select upgrades and Disc effects that support basic attacks. Read the actual ability descriptions before spending upgrade materials.

Prioritize your main damage dealer’s levels and relevant skills. Supports use their support skills and Ultimates, so direct resources toward the abilities they contribute to your current team.

Give Ascension Choices a Purpose

Ascension combines floor-by-floor combat with upgrades called Potentials and collectible musical Notes. At the end of a run, you can preserve the resulting setup as a Record for other modes, including Bounty Trials and Menace Arena.

Discs add another layer. Main Discs provide Melody and Harmony skills, while Harmony activation depends on collecting the appropriate Notes.

Check your equipped Discs before entering Ascension. During the run, pursue the Notes needed for their Harmony effects and choose Potentials that reinforce your team’s combat plan.

Make Time for Trekker Bonds

Affection includes conversations, gifts, invitations, and character-specific interactions. It also provides permanent HP and ATK increases.

Use those interactions to develop Trekkers you enjoy spending time with. Their personal stories complement the Tyrant’s larger mystery, while the stat increases contribute to their combat strength.

The Tyrant’s Tower in Version 2.0

Version 2.0 gives the Stella Sora tyrant a new permanent feature: The Tyrant’s Tower, scheduled to become available after maintenance on October 19, 2026, using the update’s UTC-7 schedule.

The system lets you customize your Monolith, spend time with Trekkers, collect Treasures, and complete missions for rewards.

That gives the tower a different purpose from an Ascension expedition. Alongside the Monoliths you climb for combat upgrades, you gain a Monolith space to personalize and share with your companions.

Open the tower’s missions when you begin using the feature. Follow those objectives while exploring customization and collection activities, and check which rewards each mission offers.

Keep its permanent status in mind when planning your Version 2.0 sessions. The Tyrant’s Tower remains available after its introduction, while several anniversary activities have fixed end dates.

If you are returning for the anniversary, check the timed events before settling into a long decorating session. The update adds both permanent systems and limited reward opportunities, so their schedules deserve separate attention.

What Tyrant Players Should Follow in Version 2.0

The Stella Sora tyrant also remains central to the update’s new story content. Wholeness at Reunion’s Dawn is a permanent main-story special chapter beginning after the October 19 maintenance.

Its opening places you in another unsettling situation: you awaken from a sorrowful dream before a fortified city, without your companions beside you.

The chapter’s second half becomes available after October 29, 2026, UTC-7. Keep that split release in mind when planning your story sessions.

The limited event and permanent chapter share a name, but their availability differs. Complete the limited event’s missions before its November 2 deadline if you want to earn its currency during the event period.

Its Event Shop includes the five-star Runic Disc Eternal Brilliance, Stellanite Dust, Cerulean Tickets, and upgrade materials. Review the shop’s selections before deciding how to spend Antique Bronze Coin.

For a focused return to the game:

  • Check the limited event’s missions and schedule. Work toward the rewards you want before its deadline.
  • Continue the special chapter. Follow the Tyrant’s new story situation and return for its second half.
  • Explore The Tyrant’s Tower. Complete missions while customizing your Monolith.
  • Review your combat team. Align Trekker skills, Discs, and Ascension choices before tackling harder encounters.

Keep story progress, Trekker development, and tower activities connected in your routine. The Tyrant’s identity provides the narrative thread, while your companions and team-building decisions shape how you spend each session.
